the iniquitous flourish

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”

O LORD, how great are Your works!
Your thoughts are very deep.
A senseless man does not know,
Nor does a fool understand this.
When the wicked spring up like grass,
And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
It is that they may be destroyed forever.

(From Psalm 92)

As we look at the world today and see “wicked spring up like grass” and “the workers of iniquity flourish”, it isn’t a result of chance, or political circumstance. It isn’t the result of elections, and can’t be avoided by support given to a “lesser of two evils”.

My reading of this portion of the Psalm is that God is behind it – letting the wicked heap judgement upon themselves. “Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie”

He gives those who “by their unrighteousness suppress the truth”, over to that unrighteousness” and allows them to prosper (for a short time), storing up wrath for [themselves] on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgement will be revealed. (Romans 1 and 2).

We all have choices.
We either belong to the Kingdom of God or the kingdoms of men.
We either love the Kingdom of God or the Kingdoms of men
We either serve the Kingdom of God or the kingdoms of men.
We are either concerned with the Kingdom of God or the kingdoms of men.
We either side with the Kingdom of God or the kingdoms of men.
We either side with God’s anointed, righteous King and promote Him, or we side with man’s chosen, unrighteous “kings” and promote them.
We either promote the gospel of truth, or we promote the lies of man.
We either choose  and proclaim the King who IS Truth, or we choose and proclaim a “king” we know to be a liar.

Praise God. I would hesitate at the wording “God is behind it” — but “letting the wicked heap judgement upon themselves” does make sense. I would compare it to where Jesus answered why someone was blind: he said it wasn’t because of the sin of his parents or his own sin, but so God would display glory. (Of course, there is the difference of what is temporal and what is eternal.) It is difficult to sort things through and come out with definitions. Nevertheless, the lack of total clarity may serve a purpose. I was out to eat with someone last Thursday, and he asked why things aren’t clear in the Bible. I said it might be partly because it’s not supposed to be a deal to strike, such as, I say the right words or do certain things or donate to the right place(s) and I get the payout I deserve. He also said he couldn’t understand how there would ever be a world without sin (he couldn’t conceive of such a life, and this isn’t someone going around selling illicit drugs or performing abortions or voting contrary to Republicans), he said it seems weird. I said it seems weird he can’t perceive the possibility. It really is stunning. But I said people will have made their choices of what matters.

Trump social media adviser, Dan Scavino, Jr. tweeted “Megyn Kelly made a total fool out of herself tonight attacking Donald Trump. Watch what happens to her after this election is over,” Scavino’s tweet read.

http://player.theplatform.com/p/7wvmTC/MSNBCEmbeddedOffSite?guid=n_lw_c2_161025 I’ll go with this one.
Trump sued this woman because he didn’t want to pay her for saving his hide monetarily.

There was so much really relevant news yesterday, all day long. I kept thinking I want to share that. I want to share this. And it kept coming into the night.

There was too much to focus on all of it and share it all. The one you touched on took the cake, for sure. Something like a week ago, Gingrich said the little Trump is “pathetic, frankly.”

It looks to me like someone told him to buck up and strike out at someone instead of expressing any reasoning and instead of forgetting that he’s only bought and paid for [otherwise it was completely a raw nerve because he, like Giuliani and Trump, is known for philandering and third wives]. It’s beginning to be even clearer that conservative means women should lose.

It’s a shame so many Christians absolutely refuse to look at any news outside of a particular bubble. And even Megan on FOX is now evil. Oh, that reminds me…

By the way, the Soviets went this route; women were supposed to shut up and tote the party line. And then everyone (M/F) was fair game to dispense with after they had helped move along the cause.
